5 Things to Look For in an Annual Review

As we begin a new year, we like to remind our members to have an annual review of their insurance policies. This is important for many reasons, but especially to make sure you are familiar with your coverage.  Our agents also want to make sure you know what’s covered and what isn’t.

Did you know that your Agent provides this complimentary service to all members and will go over all the policies you have with Georgia Farm Bureau. Some coverages may need to be updated, additional discounts may be available, contact information may have changed, etc. We encourage all our members to make it a priority to meet with their local agent annually.

An annual insurance review with your insurance agent is highly recommended and encouraged. Not only does it help us personally keep in touch with our members, but it also helps our members make sure they know and understand what their policy coverages entail. It is our job to help protect your family, home, and assets, and we do this through the coverages we provide in your policies.

The big question we often get is, “What do you need to look for as far as coverage on your current policy?” You want to make sure that your liability coverages are adequate to protect your assets. In many cases, an Umbrella policy may also be a need. An Umbrella policy is a blanket of coverage that provides additional liability in the case of a catastrophic home or auto claim.  Also, be sure to ask your agent, “Am I taking the necessary steps to protect my family and assets?”

It may sound like an Annual Review is a lengthy process, but it usually takes an hour or less. Think about it, in an hour you can make sure that you are indeed covered adequately in 2023. Contact your local agent today to get started with your annual review.
